Plastic pollution is a global problem that affects everyone. I wanted to create a video that shared the effects of plastic pollution and show how big a problem it is. I did some research and found a non-profit organization Ocean Cleanup that spends their time coming up with solutions to clean the ocean. I wanted to show one of their projects to inform people and also to persuade them to donate and allow them to do so on the site. To make an impact I created an animated text that highlighted key information and make it stand out using After effects. I created images to show off the plastic pollution, the impacts it has, and also the u-shaped barrier solution using Procreate and Photoshop. I used After effects to give movement and to animate the images. I added music to make this project more emotional.
Outcome:
I realized how important it is to plan before starting any project. Sketching out the types of shots you want to put together can be beneficial as you already have what kind of shots you want to create.
